This Saturday May 4th Live At Leeds takes over the city, check out our stage to make sure you don’t miss out on some of the best acts around…
Headlining the venue is the band everyone is talking about. Larkins are destroying the music scene in the best possible way. Since the band’s formation we’ve seen banger after banger released with things only getting greater each time. Their latest tune TV Dream has been on repeat here, give it a listen and try telling us you won’t be catching it this Saturday.
9PM GIANT ROOKS
Travelling all the way from Germany, it is essential you do not miss Giant Rooks. Their impeccably performed and produced indie anthems give off the aura of a thoroughly established band; you wouldn’t believe they’re still in their early twenties. If you’re yet to hear these guys, you won’t be disappointed…
8PM SAD BOYS CLUB
With latest single ‘Chic Chic’ being featured on Huw Stephens BBC Radio 1 Introducing show, Sad Boys Club are pinned for incredible things this year. Personally, we can’t get enough of them. Check out how to perfect indie here:
7PM WILD YOUTH
Irish indie pop band Wild Youth are bursting with melodic catchy vocals and playful electronics. Comparable to the likes of Niall Horan and Zara Larsson whom they have already supported in arena venues this past year, they are the perfect pick-me-up to take on the big night ahead.
6PM ELEPHANT TREES
Describing themselves as “depressed kids party disco”, the alt pop duo put their own punchy twist on indie ‘badassery’. Check out their banger ‘Open Up’:
5PM DECLAN J DONOVAN
As the most recent addition to the venue’s line-up, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t really excited for this one. Nearing 1.5 mil monthly Spotify listeners and having toured with Jake Bugg and Freya Ridings last year, Declan J Donovan’s incredible vocals are the perfect midway act.
4PM BIG SOCIETY
At 4pm the stage will be blessed with real n’ raw guitar music from northern lads Big Society. They describe their sound as drawing on that feeling of being “young, foolish, naïve and knackered”. You can’t go wrong.
3PM SUN SILVA
Likened to Tame Impala and Bombay Bicycle Club, SUN SILVA are the next big thing. Radiating psychedelic dreamlike tunes to take you to another place, they are not a band to be missed this year. Listen to their latest release here:
2PM ALEX FRANCIS
Acclaimed Indie pop solo artist Alex Francis just dropped an acoustic recording of his latest single ‘Whatever Happened’ and we are obsessed, check it out below and be sure to catch it in the flesh at 2pm.
1PM IVORY WAVE
Having just supported DMA’s and Superfood, Ivory Wave brummie boys are set for even bigger things this year. We have no doubt they’ll get us raring for a long, killer day of music with their unique indie-house synthy bangers.
LAL 2019 is kicked off by Leeds born two piece TEEFF, T double E double F. “Fuzzy riffs, punchy drums and bluesy vocals” – the only way to begin. Give their latest release ‘Won’t You’ a listen:
