‘This hypnotic sense of floating mid-fever dream is par for the course when it comes to Wonders of the Yukon; squelching guitars and laser-guided melodies’ – Tinnitist Mag
‘This (‘Rachel’) is one of those great songs that rolls along effortlessly, blending country, folk and ragged college rock sounds.’ – Post To Wire
‘Lyrically, a masterful example of layers and hidden meaning.’ – Record World Magazine
‘Just when you think you’re on the right path and have this folk-noir duo all sussed out, they come right back at you with their unnerving and unsettling existential commentaries, returning you to that feeling of not quite knowing where you stand.’ – Cashbox Magazine Canada
In previous incarnations, Andy Campbell and Dave Langdale released records through Columbia and Jeepster Records respectively. Years before meeting they were sharing stages with Pavement, Granddaddy, Sparklehorse and Bootsy Collins to name but a few.
Their sound has been described as having a liquor-soaked romance; soothing harmony and rattling emotion. With haunting, guitar-driven melodies, it evokes thoughts of road trips and widescreen vistas. Resonating with fans of Big Star, Wilco, Midlake, Richard Hawley and Neil Young.
Indie for grown-ups…
